MONDUS MAKES ASPHALT DEBUT -- Alan Mondus of Lakeville, MN made his "Late
Model Asphalt" Debut at Raceway park, in Shakopee,MN. Mondus driving for
Jorgenson Brothers Racing in the #81 car had a strong run and finish in the first of six
"AC Delco Challage Series" races - Placing 8th in a strong field in his first
ever asphalt start.
Mondus qualified 13th and had the patience
of a verteran working his way up to 5th before having to settle for 8th in a very strong
field of Super Late Models at the first stop of six in the AC Delco Challage Series.
Conrad Jorgenson - Car owner and crew chief stated "I can't tell
you how impressed I am with this young talent, he was surrounded by verterans of the
sport and out smarted and out drove most of the field in just his first start in a Late
Model" Jorgenson when on to say he hopes Alan's schedule will allow him
to compete in the entire challage series for him this year, althrough he knows Alan
has a comitment to the USMTS Series.
Alan has comitted to drive for Conrad and
his Jorgenson Brothers Team for the Elko
Speedway "Summer Series"
Three Race series with doulbe features on June 25th August 6th, & September
4th.
